Crocheted Diaper Bag
Use 2 strands of rug yarn, or 3 strands of worsted weight yarn. Combine coordinating colors to suit your taste. With rug yarn this requires 6 skeins of 60 yards each.
With a size K hook, chain 25.
Bottom of Bag:
Row 1: Skip 1st ch, sc in each ch across, 4 sc in the end st. Turn and sc across the back side of each ch. Work 3 sc in end.
Row 2: Without joining rows, crochet around the piece in an oval, working 1 sc in each sc along sides, and 2 sc in the 4 sts at each end.
Row 3: Repeat row 2
Sides of Bag:
Sc in each sc around. Repeat until bag is a total of 25 rows (or keep going if you want the bag to be deeper).
Handles:
Row 1: Sc around, but in the center front and center back, skip 6 sts and ch 35 for each handle.
Row 2: Sc in each st, including the 35 chains of each handle. Sc in 12 sts beyond the 2nd handle before ending off with a slip stitch.
