Work Meetings:

Please bring your sewing machines, sergers and basic sewing supplies to work on a variety of projects. If you don't know how to sew, there are plenty of other tasks for you!

1) The main meeting is held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9am until 4pm. Feel free to come and leave whenever you're ready. There will be a short business meeting at 12:15pm so that everyone can hear the latest news.

2) There is a meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 9:30am - 8:30pm.

3) There is a meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 11:30am-3:30pm.

In August, 2011, we moved to the FRONT of the building, directly ABOVE the unit we were in before.  It's the last door on the LEFT of the building at 445 Old Highway 8 NW, New Brighton, MN, 55112.

It is the building just to the north of the Dairy Queen in New Brighton, across the street from what used to be the American Legion.   It's a one-way driveway with angle parking - use the entrance closest to the Dairy Queen.
 

Directions:

From the North:

Take I35W south to the E-2 exit (exit 26).
At the top of the ramp, turn right (west) onto E-2.
Continue heading west on E-2 which turns into 5th Street NW.
Turn right (north) at the 4-way stop on to 5th Ave NW.
Turn left at the lights on to Old Highway 8. Our building is on the left side of the road.
 

From the South:

Take I35W to the E-2 exit (exit 26).
At the top of the ramp, turn left (west) onto E-2.
Continue heading west on E-2 which turns into 5th Street NW. Turn right (north) at the 4-way stop on to 5th Ave NW.
Turn left at the lights on to Old Highway 8. Our building is on the left side of the road.

 

From the East:

Take I694 west to I35W. Take I35W south to the E-2 exit (exit 26).
At the top of the ramp, turn right (west) onto E-2.
Continue heading west on E-2 which turns into 5th Street NW.
Turn right (north) at the 4-way stop on to 5th Ave NW. Turn left at the lights on to Old Highway 8.
Our building is on the left side of the road.

 

From the West:

Take I694 east to Long Lake Road (exit 40).
At the end of the ramp, turn right on to Long Lake Rd. Turn right on 8th Ave NW.
Turn right on Old Highway 8. Our building is on the left side of the road.
 

Note: We have FIVE parking spots reserved for Bundles Of Love in the front of the building - 2 along the far edge and the 3 in front of the unit.  PLEASE, drop off your stuff in front of the door and drive around to the back and park in the larger lot.  Please be a good neighbor and do not take up the spots in front of the other units.

 

Help us deliver the finished goods!

The North Metro is in need of someone who can help make deliveries. You can make a BIG contribution by arranging to pick up goods (preferably at the work meeting) and delivering them to the various locations in the area. Your mileage will probably be tax-deductible. You don't need to know how to knit, crochet, or sew but be able to drive the goods to the hospitals or clinics. Please contact Teresa if you can help us out.

Specifically, we need somebody to deliver to Community University Health Care Center in Minneapolis (near East Franklin and Bloomington), Person to Person (2100 Central Ave NE, Minneapolis), and Way to Grow (near Highways 55 & 94). All of these 3 need to be done during normal office hours Mon-Fri. These can be done anytime in the week following the 2nd Saturday meeting.
